Purpose of KEAM:

  • Engineering: Admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in colleges within Kerala.
  • Architecture: Admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs (based on NATA scores and KEAM).
  • Pharmacy: Admission to Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programs.

Exam Structure:

  • Mode: Offline (Pen and paper-based).
  • Papers:
    • Paper 1: Physics and Chemistry.
    • Paper 2: Mathematics.
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Total Marks: 480 marks.
    • Paper 1: 120 questions (4 marks each) = 480 marks.
    • Paper 2: 120 questions (4 marks each) = 480 marks.

Syllabus:

  • The syllabus is based on the standard 12th curriculum followed by the Higher Secondary Education Board of Kerala, similar to CBSE and other state boards.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • For Engineering: Passed HSC (12th) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 45% marks in these subjects.
    • For Architecture: Must have a valid NATA score and should have passed 12th or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
    • For Pharmacy: Passed HSC (12th) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

  • Mode: Online registration on the official KEAM website.
